An historic British school with an international reputation for academic excellence isn't ruling out the possibility of inviting porn stars into the classroom.
Mark Slater, the headmaster of The Leys in Cambridge, told The Cambridge News website he's concerned that viewing porn online will affect his charges from forming fulfilling relationships. The perspective of porn stars, he says, will help students understand the difference between online fantasy and real relationships.
"I wouldn't rule it out simply because of what they have done in their life if I felt that person was going to put across good values and be a good influence," Slater said on the site. "I don't think you can escape porn given that it's almost impossible to legislate against what goes on the Internet."
Slater said the co-ed school views "pastoral care as possibly the most important job we do.
"And under the heading pastoral care comes the need to prepare people for life, for their future, and an important part of that is their relationships."
